This ancient masterpiece was found at Reerasta, Ardagh, Co. Limerick, Ireland. During the celebration of Mass, this chalis was used for dispensing Eucharistic wine. 8th century CE. (National Museum of Ireland-Archaeology, Dublin, Republic of Ireland)
